RFH Rowing, established in 2006, provides the opportunity for boys and girls in grades 9 - 12 to join almost 3000 area teens currently competing in the one of the fastest growing sports in New Jersey and the United States. The program provides experienced coaches, rowing instruction, fitness training, and competitive scholastic racing for student-athletes of Rumson and Fair Haven, New Jersey.

There are 4 distinct seasons for rowing all of which are managed by the Rumson Recreation Department.

SPRING - The spring is the most competitive season of the year.  During this time of year the program is considered a club at RFH High School and will compete in at least 7 scholastic regattas through out the northeastern United States.  The season starts in March and is over by beginning of June.  

SUMMER - The summer is time for recuperation from the long spring season as well as getting the newest participants up to speed for the fall season.  In the summer months there are no competitions. 

FALL - The spring is the 2nd most competitive season of the year.  During this time of year the program is will compete in at least 5 club regattas through out the northeastern United States.  The season starts in September and is over by beginning of November.  In the interest of athlete safety, and a limited roster spots, there will be formal cuts following tryouts for the Fall RFH Rowing season.
