Rumson Soccer Club Travel Development Clinic 

Open to boys and girls in Rumson born in 2011. The program is free (sponsored by the Rumson Travel Soccer Club and Rumson Recreation), 4-session development clinic run by the Rumson Travel Soccer Club to help the players transition from recreation-level to travel-level, in preparation for try-outs with area clubs this spring.

The Rumson Travel Soccer Club is excited to announce Tryouts for the 2019-2020 Seasonal Year!

Benefits of Playing for the Rumson Travel Soccer Club:

• Stay local! Participate in all practices and half of all games on fields in Rumson
• Play with Friends!  2011 - 2009 teams open only to Rumson residents and 2008-2005 teams open to Rumson and Fair Haven.
• Professional trainers!  Players receive skills instruction from professional Trainers at least once per week.
• Compete and develop! Play for a competitive team that balances skills development with competitiveness -- all in a fun, fair, and supportive environment. 
• Balance with other sports! Because the Club values well-rounded athletes, players are encouraged to play other travel sports and coordinates training and game schedules accordingly.
• See the Shore! Travel to opponent fields throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties as part of the Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA)
• Reasonable fees! Run by volunteers and supported by Rumson Recreation, registration, uniform, league, and trainer fees all kept as low as possible.

Tryout Procedures:

• Tryouts are held once a year in April/May for the teams playing in the following Fall and Spring
• Teams and Tryouts are categorized by birth year and you must register for that tryout
• 2011, 2010, and 2009 Teams: Rumson residents only
• 2008, 2007, 2006, & 2005 Teams: Rumson and Fair Haven residents welcome
• Tryouts are "open" in that everyone (whether currently on the team or not) gets a fair evaluation from professional, third-party evaluators (not the Coaches of the teams)
• Please register in advance, walk ups are welcome but pre-registrations are preferred 
• There are two date/time options for the 2011 birth year tryouts. Players are encouraged, but not required, to attend both.
• Rain dates are listed in case of weather cancellation of the main date. Please set aside both times.
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to the tryouts to check in.
• Please do not wear any travel soccer gear to the tryouts.
