Flag Football Referees - Job Description and Application

Flag Football is a fall program for Rumson and Fair Haven residents (boys and girls) who are in K-8th grade. This program provides boys and girls with an orientation to the fundamentals of football.  Games are played on Saturday mornings beginning with the first Saturday after Labor Day and continuing until the last Saturday in October.  

2018 SEASON INFORMATION:

It is required that each player wear a mouth guard and it is recommended that each child wears a padded head gear.

Team Placement: You will be notified of your child's team placement mid-August.  Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for specific coaches, teams, practices nights, friend placement, etc.  Thank you for your understanding.

Pre-Season starts the week of August 27th, depending on your coach's availability.

Practices: Grades 1-6 will have weeknight practices, which are set according to coaches' availability.  Kindergarten is anticipated to be Saturdays only and include skills & scrimmages.  

Saturday Games

Kindergarten 11:15am-12:15pm.

Grade 1/2: 10am-11am 

Grade 3/4: 8am-9am 

Grade 5/6: 9am-10am 

Grade 7/8: 8am-9am or 9am-10am

Games are played at the RFHRHS Turf or TBD or Upper High School Field.  The Kindergarten program will be at TBD.  Games run Sep 9 - Oct 28 (Labor Day is Sep 4).

Children may play both Flag Football and Rumson Rec Soccer, if interested.  There are no conflicts between Rumson Rec Soccer and the K-2 Flag program - FH RESIDENTS - NOTE: Rumson Rec cannot guarantee no conflicts with Fair Haven Soccer.  Every effort is made to minimize conflicts between Rec soccer games and Flag Football, but we cannot guarantee no conflicts for practices or games at the Grade 3-5 age level.

    Flag Football is for boys and girls who are residents of Rumson & Fair Haven. The Kindergarten clinic offers skills and scrimmages on Saturdays at Meadow Ridge West from 1130am-1230pm. There are no conflicts with Rumson Rec K soccer clinic.

    Flag Football is for boys and girls who are residents of Rumson & Fair Haven. Program involves competitive Team play, games on Saturday from 10am-11am, with one weeknight practice. There are no game conflicts between Rumson Rec Soccer for Grades 1&2.
