Why is the moove program beneficial for your child?
- Teamwork. With Spring, Summer and Fall programs cancelled, this will give children the opportunity to be a part of a team again.
- Accountability. Each team goes further when everyone puts in the work. Knowing the team is counting on your child might be just the motivation they need to drop the screen and moove for the team.
- Honesty. The moove program is currently scored on an honor system. But we do encourage moovers to track as many of their moovements as possible via Apple Watch, Fitbit or a fitness tracking app/device. Don't report anything to your coach that doesn't feel like the right moove!
- Motivation for the Whole Family. Fitness is one of the healthiest habits that families can develop.... why not do it together? Family time + fitness time = sounds like a win/win before the competition even starts!
- Did you know? According to the CDC, children and adolescents ages 6 through 17 years should do 60 minutes (1 hour) or more of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity each day, including daily aerobic - and activities that strengthen
bones (like running or jumping) - 3 days each week, and that build muscles (like
climbing or doing push-ups) - 3 days each week.
